School: The Juilliard School
John Ostrowski is one of those incredible multi-taskers who finds time to play percussion, be a member of various orchestral groups and finish not only one but two degrees with flying colors. He is a member of the UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra under the direction of James Levine and has also performed chamber music at the Verbier Festival with Joshua Bell. In the fall of 2004, he participated in the first ever Lucerne Festival Academy where Pierre Boulez is the artistic director. In March of 2005, John worked with Pierre Boulez again, this time as a part of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Music NOW series. He is currently a member of LineC3, a percussion quartet that has toured Japan and recently had its New York City debut concert at Tenri Cultural Institute. John received a bachelor’s in music performance from Northwestern University and a master’s from the Juilliard School.
